Hello there community!
The global pandemic continues to be the topic on everyone’s minds—forcing industries to evolve rapidly and explore creative solutions as studios, projects, and pipelines adapt.
I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling a little like Don Draper there and could use some #forum-friday goodness.
Last month, I shared tips, resources, and self-care ideas that the team pulled together related to working remotely from home (#wfh). It’s worth checking out if you missed—here are a few highlights:
- Any topic on the forum related to remote work has been tagged with #wfh. You’ll see a handful of existing discussions in the #shotgun, #pipeline, and #rv categories. (If you post something related, please add the #wfh tag to your post. )
- COVID-19 Autodesk Resource Center—includes a recap of Autodesk’s overall actions in response to COVID-19 and resources for Shotgun and other Autodesk products.
- Autodesk Extended Access Program—covers details about the Shotgun extended access program
In April, we saw some outstanding contributions from the community:
- @scottballard shared two Toolkit/Pipeline Integration apps! Check out the Schema Introspection and Naming Convention topics to learn more.
- @Tetsuya_Nozawa shared their work with integrating a 3D model viewer in the browser. Really cool—check it out here!
Thanks for sharing, guys!
And, on the news front:
- @jack announced and shared two exciting features that have been rolling out: the ability to control media download links per user and allowing autocomplete entity fields to show values immediately
- On the #shotguncreate front, @warren.trezevant has been collecting feedback on the Shotgun Create Playlists Beta while also showing off the brand new ghost and hold annotations workflow
- We continue to bring more of our Release Notes process to the community forum. Shotgun web app release notes now have their own sub-category: #shotgun:release-notes. This makes it easy to react and follow for live updates. Additionally, you’ll find #pipeline, #shotguncreate, and #rv Release Notes in their respective categories under the #release-notes tag.
- The Street Team hosted office hours sessions across not one, but two weeks. Let us know if you found these helpful or would be interested in future sessions!
