RV 2024.2.1 Release is now available!

This patch release of RV 2024.2.1 introduces some enhancements to the Live Review feature and addresses critical issues.

Improvements

  • Added an option to set the Player’s audio output to ‘Mute’ by default when participants join a Live Review session. [SG-39187]
  • Added timecode information to the metadata of image sequences that are submitted to FPT via RV’s Submit Tool. [SG-38366]

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where incorrect start frame was set when loading movie files due to the FFmpeg 6.1.2 update in RV 2024.2.0. [SG-37903]
  • Fixed an issue in the Nuke integration package in RV that prevented it from working with Nuke 13/14/15. [SG-32963]
  • Fixed an issue in loading URLs from command line if setServerURLValue(url) command is set without a scheme (i.e: https://). [SG-38734]
  • Fixed intermittent errors when launching RV 2024.1.0 and 2024.2.0 on Rocky 9.4. [SG-38409]
  • Fixed an issue that would freeze the application when using OCIO SYNDisplay/SYNLinearize nodes. [SG-37901]
  • Fixed a regression that prevented the rvNetwork.py file from being present after installing the application. [SG-38104]
  • Fixed a regression that prevented the rvSession.py file from being present after installing the application. [SG-38030]
  • Fixed a regression where RV could not load the media of a session file after authentication if the session was opened via command line. [SG-37909]
  • Fixed a crash on Windows when enabling Presentation Mode with the AJA SDK. [SG-37815]
  • Fixed an issue with the timecode option not working anymore when doing operations with RVIO via command-line. [SG-38274]
  • Fixed a login issue with the App Session Launcher by making it use SHOTGUN_API_CACERTS similar to python-api. [SG-38301]
  • Fixed an issue with degraded CPU performance in the RV cache process for PNG video encoded media. [SG-37933]
  • Fixed an issue with the ‘w’ keyboard shortcut so it now fits the window to the image. [SG-38144]

Hi Ian. Does this include the improvements made in OpenRV? Particularly around the OCIO performance?
