Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where RV would not launch on macOS Sequoia 15.2 and output a “Too many root sets” error. [SG-37382]
- Fixed a Windows-specific issue where RV would freeze for 10-20 seconds on exit. [SG-35387]
- Fixed an audio synchronization issue when in presentation mode with a Blackmagic device as a video output device on macOS, triggered during operations like adding media to an RV sequence during playback. [SG-34860]
- Fixed a macOS specific behavior. When the RV window was completely covered during playback, the playback would pause along with the audio and result in a noisy audio artifact. The presentation mode (video output) playback would also stop. With the fix, the RV playback now behaves on macOS like it does on Windows: the video output playback no longer stops when the window is completely covered, and the annoying audio artifacts are gone.
- Fixed an issue that would crash the application when trying to load incomplete PNG sequences. [SG-34647]
- Fixed an issue that would cause RV to fail loading movie clips encoded with PNG codec. [SG-35105]
- Fixed an issue where the following error that would prevent Flow Production Tracking login on some Linux distributions (since RV 2024): qt.qpa.plugin: Could not find the Qt platform plugin “xcb” in “”. [SG-35235]
- Fixed an issue that would create empty tk-rv.log for the RV’s Toolkit login when it couldn’t establish a successful connection to a Flow Production Tracking site, even if the TK_DEBUG=1 environment variable was set.
- Fixed an issue with RVNETWORKPROXY_x environment variables not being considered since RV 2024. [SG-35205]
- Fixed an issue with the Annotation tool that created undesirable spike artifacts. (Fix provided by Mark Reid from the Open RV community!)
- Fixed a missing line break in the shotgrid_mode.mu file. [SG-35625]
- Fixed an OCIOv2 random crash issue. (Fix provided by the Open RV community!)
- Fixed an issue where RV needed to be re-authenticated at every launch when RVNETWORKPROXY_x environment variables were used. (Present since RV 2024) [SG-35540]
- Fixed an issue that would cause RVIO to crash when setting multiple reader threads (-rthreads option) while exporting to file sequence. [SG-33114]
- Fixed a slow RV launch issue on Windows 10, reducing the time from launch to first frame displayed from 10 seconds to 6 seconds. Added support for RVSKIPLOADINGVIDEOOUTPUT_PLUGINS environment variable, which can save an additional second from the launch time. But enabling this variable also disables video output from RV.
- Fixed an issue on Windows where media with long path (>=260 characters) could not be loaded in RV. [SG-35913]
- Fixed an issue where media uploaded to Flow Production Tracking with the ‘Flow Production Tracking/Submit Tool’ had an incorrect file name when subsequently downloaded from ‘Flow Production Tracking’. [SG-29511]
- Fixed rvls utility that was not working since RV 2024. [SG-35134]
- Fixed an issue where RV would randomly crash when loading an RV session with missing media when progressive source loading was enabled (progressive source loading is NOT enabled by default in RV). [SG-36824]
- Fixed a Video Output (aka Presentation Mode) issue where users could not override the presentVideoFormat and presentDataFormat settings once specified on the command line. [SG-36864]
