When trying to compare two clips with the wipe and zoomed in to check details the viewer jumps back to default ‘R’ scale in the viewer making it impossible to assess detail
Similarly, when using the annotation tool when zoomed in it jumps back to default zoom - often leaving a paint stroke in its wake
These are high on the priority of fixes I’d like to see
I have a few questions to help clarify the issues:
-What are the steps to get this behavior?
I assume it is open version in player, zoom in, then select compare mode with wipe, and the expectation being that you remain zoomed into the location before activating the compare mode but I want to make sure.
-When is this jumping and leaving of a paint stroke occurring?
Is this happening in the same way as the above scenario but with the annotation tool open as well? Does a stroke need to have been made before selecting compare to see the stroke?
-Are you using a tablet/wacom for input or a mouse?
-What browser are you using when the issues occur?

CORRECT
But, as of writing, I now cannot reproduce this behaviour - has there been an update?

It was happening with compare on and paint actice. The snap back seemed to happen at an unpredictable interval
Weirdly I have just gone through the motions of zoom+paint and couldn’t get it to reproduce this
likewise with zoom+compare+paint
has there been an update?

Wacom tablet + Pen
-What browser are you using when the issues occur?
The ‘snap to fit’ behaviour has come back both in compare and paint - not sure why it’s ok sometimes and not others
to replicate in Annotate mode - Zoom in and Pan to centre on something, start paint, and at some point zoom reverts to fit and if you’re in the middle of a paint stroke it’ll draw a line out to the new pen position
to replicate in Compare - enter compare mode > wipe, set wipe position, zoom in and pan to centre on something and then adjust the wip position. At some point it’s snap back fit view
Note: not sure if it’s related but if you’re in the middle of making/typing a note in the 'Write note…" box occasionally it drops out of active typing mode as if you’ve left the box and gone back to interacting with the reviewer. It’s as if there’s some chron/refresh thing going on in the background that ignores what you’re doing
Thank you for the information! This helps narrow down the source of the bug. I will log with all this information and hopefully we can get to the bottom of it.
