Hi, i hope this finds everyone of you well.
I´ll start by thanking the team behind this tool for their work, its a great tool, and as you all had mentioned before there still a lot of improvement left to do, but so far the experience had been very nice. *(as a small parentesis i selected “feature-request” as tag because it fit better but its a little bit of the 3 options, its my first time posting so im not sure if i should separed them, srry for any trouble this may cause)
I mainly use creative review for quick anotations, sometimes more detailed ones, so all of my feedback will be focus specifically on that tool , i use wacom and google chrome.:))*
How to make straight lines*
- There is this bug that i love and i hope it becomes a feature: If you make a stroke or a point, hold either ctrl/alt and then you drag your cursor to another point on the screen, then realese the key, and move slightly your cursor you optain an “straight” line.
This beggan happening, after a recent change on the stroke line definition, i belive it used to be a sharp stroke before, and now it has fether edges. as it is right know the line its always larger than the distance betwen my 2 points, i think its smoothing the stroke down, Before you could do this by accident if the zoom snaped or something like that, but now you can control it very nice. I´ve also acomplished a few very nice curve lines with this tecnic but in not sure yet, how to doit constantly.
If we could get an specific hot key to hold the stroke so we could still pan and zoom to the new location it would be fantastic :)).
Annotation tool disappearing:
- it happens often, that im painting writting by hand, and then i can not longer do it anymore, i think this is already a know issue, but it happens speacilly when zooming in, i belive its highly related to my straight line tecnic. If you make a stroke, holding ctrl/alt and you release the pen just before the key, the annotation tool brokes, somethimes just ctrl/alt and then A, A, would fix it, but a lot of times you need to refresh. I really wish there would be a faster refresh so it wouldnt happend, but also that “A” could alwaaaays refresh the tool pls :'))
Zoom annotation snap.
- I´ve also seen this topic before, so ill just add a little bit of information and tips for users to work arround it :)) . Soo, if you zoom in or out, and you make very fast strokes it will allways snap back to fit view, this varies from computer to computer, i have concluded it has to be with how fast after any stroke your tool bar reapears. Just make sure your toolbar its on before you paint, its very annoying, please fix it, but the workarround its just being paitient.
ToolBar improvements
- The tool bar is fool of fixes, sometimes trying to change the size of the brush staylinked to my cursor position, i belive it happends if you hold shift and stroke or something like that, idk, but it would be amazing if we could chance brush size with a shortcut. In the clasic review tool form shotgun or flow im not sure if it has a name, you could change it with shift and drag, so it would be nice to get that back pls :))
- I will also love to move the tool bar arround, just having the ability to chance it position its always nice.
- In the default reviewer there was this Awesome bug i wish can become a feature here pls, if you make a stroke, hold it while changing between frames and then finish it on the new frame, all the information will paste into it. We used to do is a ghost, wich now we have, so ly ty for that, but it was supeer useful for alot of things, im gonna be honest: the hold “h” its not very usefull, if there could be a copy and paste inside the hold that would be so amazing, but even ctrl+c ctrl+v to paste drawings would be amazing. In the default reviewer you can also chance between vertions and press ctrl+z and it would pase a note. I belive there could also be a copy option inside the attatchment window to move it arround version, specially for ocations when the compare view has diferente frame counts or in any case we could need to just have the same anotation in two diferente versions. :))
And finally Color picker or fav colors
- it just a comodity but its always a great feature to have :))
Thats all, the tool its very useful, it had replace using external tool a lot of time, so i really really thank all of you for that, and i hope this is can help improve the experience for everyone.
