I found a layout I like (the columns), and would like to save it as a “global default” if you will when creating a new grid.
I found this article (below) which maybe could solve my problem but wanted to make sure by asking this community!

What is your question?
If you need confirmation that that is the way to do it then yes, it is.
You can save pages/layouts as global defaults.
You can also use a existing project as a template for a new one (or apply the template to an existing project).
