Wrong frame range display on Create player

It’s not a deal breaker but not sure why ShotGrid Create player starts at a random frame number in its player. Is there a way to set the player’s frame range starting from 1000?

Hi,

If you open the same version in ShotGrid web, what’s the value in the ‘‘First Frame’’ field ? You can right click on the version in Create and choose the ‘‘Open in browser’’ option.

If the value is empty, we are taking the first frame from the file metadata.

Thanks,

Francisca

Hi Francisca,

First frame value is “1223602”.

I just checked the metadata, seems like mov’s time code (14:09:46) is displayed in frames on ShotGrid. Is there an option to override this?

Thanks

1223602 is the time code converted into frame number using the frame rate (23.976 it seems). Modifying the First Frame field will simply tell the player to consume media at a different time. That will affect the frames you see in the player, so probably not what you are looking for. The player honors the metadata from the file (first frame = 14:09:46) and the timeline displays it raw too. There is no display override mechanism, unless the media is used in a container that explicitly modifies the record time (eg.: a Cut).
