Ideally as you know, everyone in a session should be able to annotate simultaneously. I know you are working on that already.
The current “make presenter” workflow is awkward:
- You can give control, but cannot claim it back
- Despite that, anyone else can take away the control from you and give it to someone else (but not to themselves)
If you intended to prevent people from stealing control, perhaps only the presenter should be able to pass the control to someone else.
I think a more flexible design would be to trust users not to interrupt presenters and allow anyone to take control at any time.
Timelines of non-presenters shouldn’t be forcibly slaved to the presenters timeline. I think it would be great to allow anyone to view any frame / version, but when they depart from the live sync a button would appear to let them back into the live sync. That way someone could reference other parts of the material for cross checking or detecting inconsistencies while the presenter is talking.
