Shotgrid requiring almost daily re-login

Is anyone else getting an issue with your site where you and your users are getting asked to log in (with SSO) on a pretty much daily basis? Often the same in RV. Our site settings are that users should only need to re-login once a week, so I’m not sure why we’re getting booted and asked to re-login quite so much?

Hi,

We have the same issue. The Autodesk Support is looking into this, I believe.

Cheers,

Cheers, Alex, that’s good to know it’s being looked at!

Hi,

Indeed, we are looking into this. This was introduced by prior work to handle idle browser sessions.

The session duration set in the site preferences are what should be observed. Being prompted when you should not is definitely a bug.

YES! Thank you. This applies to various apps as well, not just the website btw.

thanks for the awesome information.

We are unfortunately still working on this issue, or more to the point: issues.

The intent is to be able to manage idle sessions…
Licenses issued for ShotGrid usage by the back-end services are usually good for 24 hours. Once the license has expired, a new one must be obtained before the can interact with ShotGrid.

We want to avoid having to renew licenses for idle sessions. This skews usage stats (showing users as being active on the weekend, when they were not working), and we have to adhere to Autodesk’s own requirement as it relates to idle sessions.
