Now we have OTIO import abilities in RV, it would be really good if this was supported within a screening room session. Currently its not and appears to be standalone so you cant add notes, swap out versions etc. Is there a plan at all to integrate this more deeply so it can be used properly in reviews?
Yes it was mentioned in one of the bi-anual technology talks by @warren.trezevant .
I think the roadmap sounded like this:
Phase 1:
OTIO support in RV/Import CUT
Phase 2:
OTIO support in Create and Browser playback tools / universal overhaul to make them all match.
This is good news.
Is there any updates on plans to introduce OTIO to build Screening Room timelines and have access to all the notes/versions etc to swap out?
