Now open - EU Data Center Beta for Flow Production Tracking!

We’re beginning a beta program for EU-based hosting for Flow Production Tracking and are looking for sites to participate. Today, Flow Production Tracking cloud sites are hosted in North America. This beta explores hosting infrastructure in the EU, starting with a data center in Frankfurt.

:white_check_mark: Why participate?

For studios with users based in Europe, EU hosting has the potential to:

  • Reduce latency to the application and API
  • Improve responsiveness for day-to-day workflows
  • Provide a foundation for regional data hosting

:information_source: How it works:

  • Participants will receive a clone of their production site (staging environment) hosted in the EU
  • Your production site remains unchanged and continues to run in North America
  • The migration includes your database and supporting infrastructure required to run the site

:warning: Beta considerations
Since this is an early beta, it’s important to keep in mind:

  • Performance and stability may vary
  • Some integrations or workflows may require validation
  • Data synchronization between production and EU staging may be limited (details will be shared during onboarding)
  • Your production site will remain unaffected

:speech_balloon: What we’re asking:

  • :spiral_calendar: Availability to participate during our beta period (now through summer 2026).
  • :writing_hand: Willingness to test workflows on the EU hosted staging site and provide feedback (via a survey). You’re welcome to involve admins as well as other users in testing.

:busts_in_silhouette: Who is a good fit?
We’re especially interested in sites that:

  • Have a significant user base in Europe
  • Rely heavily on API-driven or latency-sensitive workflows
  • Can actively test and provide feedback

:white_question_mark: Still have questions? You can check out this post for additional beta testing information and guidelines.

:woman_raising_hand: Interested? Let us know by responding to this post, or reaching out directly to express interest. We’ll follow up with next steps and onboarding details.

Hello, we are based in Europe but our clients are in US and Canada. Does moving to an EU server will have benefit for both sides or only on our (EU) side?

Hey Niki,

Thanks for the interest! The primary benefit is likely to be for your users in Europe, but it also depends on what workflows users in various locations are performing on the site. This is why we are recommending that you test these workflows out on a staging site. Please let me know if you have any additional questions, or if you’d like to proceed with setting up a staging site for testing!

Cheers,

Jessica

Hello Jessica,

That is a great news, we rely heavily on API requests in our productions and will appreciate the improved up/load time of our medias and script actions. Do you already know where your datacenter might be located ?

You mentioned that media transfert was not 100% possible for the mirror site, can you give us more detail on this.

Our Studio, MiraculousCorp, is based in Paris and we have between 130 and 200 Active Users on our SG.
We stoped using the SG toolkit few years ago and now rely heavily on the API to push and pull media and data in addition to many AMI deamons across multiple internal tool and sofware.

Statistically, looking at our SG event logs, we are usually between 70k and 100k API requests across a month. The Site Activity Monitor reports around 100ms request time as a median for last week.

Looking forward to participate in this Beta !
Thanks,

Hi Aurelian,

Thanks so much for your interest! I’ll reach out to you via DM where we can talk about more specifics

Cheers,

Jessica
