Important Maintenance Notification (Sept 28th 2026)

Dear Flow Production Tracking (FPT) Community,

We want to inform you about an upcoming back-end infrastructure upgrade that will improve the security and reliability of the Flow Production Tracking service. This upgrade is scheduled to take place over a period of 5 weeks (or more), starting on September 28th, as we gradually update each site. We don’t anticipate any impact to your Flow Production Tracking site’s functionality, but there is a possibility that some users might have to log back in after the upgrade process. All the data and settings in your site will remain unchanged.

Maintenance window:

Start: September 28th
Duration: 5 weeks (may be extended if needed)

FAQ

Why is this upgrade essential?

This infrastructure upgrade is crucial to maintaining the high level of service you expect from Flow Production Tracking. If you have any concerns or questions about the upgrade, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team.

Can I opt out of this upgrade?

No, this upgrade is mandatory to all customers

What does this mean for my site?

We expect no disruption to Flow Production Tracking sites during this maintenance window.

What does this mean for FPT users?

Users may need to log out and log back in. This may be needed a couple of times during the maintenance window.

What does this mean for scripts accessing FPT?

There should be no disruption to scripts accessing FPT data.

Why does the maintenance window last over a month?

The actual upgrade window for each site is short, but we are gradually rolling out the upgrade over a few weeks to ensure we have enough time to address any issues that may arise.

Will we still be able to request site operations (e.g. clone) during this maintenance window?

No, the following operations will not be possible during this maintenance window and should be planned for before or after that period:

  • Site Migrations

    • Local to Cloud

    • Between AWS regions

  • Site cloning

  • Site Back-up & restore

  • Changing a site URL

Can we choose the date of our upgrade?

No, we follow a strategic schedule based on our infrastructure.

Can we find out where our site falls within the rollout order (e.g. week 1, 2, …)?

No, our rollout strategy is based on many factors like infrastructure resources that may change during this period so we can’t guarantee a date unfortunately

I am running Flow Production Tracking locally, am I still impacted?

No. This update will not be automatically applied to your local site. A new image containing the upgrade will be made available for local deployments a few weeks after the maintenance window. You can then plan your site upgrade accordingly.

How will I know if my site has been upgraded already?

While in FPT, in the drop-down menu below your avatar, you can find the version number in the “HELP” section. If you are on version 8.90, you are on the upgraded version.

My site has been updated and I am having issues with Flow Production Tracking. What should I do?

Thanks for the notice.

Can we find out where out site (nick.shotgrid.autodesk.com) falls within the rollout order? (For example, are we roughly week 1, or week 5?)

This sounds like a database upgrade. As a locally-hosted site, we definitely need more details about this. My guess is the best course of action would be to file a support ticket?

@taiello We just updated the FAQ item about local installs to make it crystal clear.

As usual, local installs can always decide to not download the latest version that will include this upgrade one month after this maintenance period is over. Sorry if it was not clear enough.
