Incorrect Aspect Ratio

It doesn’t seem to display the shot in the correct aspect ratio.
Probably related to this warning “The media being played may not be transcoded as expected.”

Hey Hilary.klose,

We’ve created an internal ticket regarding this issue. Once we know more we’ll post info for you.

Thanks so much

Is it not this?
https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Wrong-video-aspect-ratio-with-Play-in-Creative-Review-in-Flow-Production-Tracking.html

After experiencing this ourselves, it turns out that it is due to (at least for us) the Frames Aspect Ratio field being populated in the version data.

If this field is left blank, the aspect ratio is read from the data held in the media itself and it displays correctly.

We standardise all our daily publishes anyway, so they are always 16:9 (with letter or pillar box) regardless of the source frame aspect ratio.

This field appears to behave like an override, and causes media to be displayed incorrectly if it has another value other than that of the media itself.

Hope this might help you.

@hilary.klose are you continuing to experience this issue? Have you had a chance to look at the support page with a potential fix recommending “To avoid this behavior in Flow Production Tracking Creative Review tool, do not use the “Pixel Aspect Ratio” field in versions when ingesting media.”

Cheers
