How to filter tasks within pipeline step columns

Hi there,

I’m wondering if its possible to filter specific Task Names from a pipeline step on a custom page based on the “Shot” type.

I have my filters set to show only the “Animation” and “Lipsync” tasknames, so I would expect the “Adtl Task 1” and “Adtl Task 2” Tasks to be filtered from this view…

Instead, it seems that if the tasknames I’m actively filtering for are at all present in the pipeline step for that shot, any additional tasks within that pipeline step (even ones that fall outside of the range of the filter) are landing on the table.

I think I’ll need to move to a “Task” base for my custom page to get around this, but please let me know if I’m missing something or if there are workarounds for this. If not, having the ability to filter tasks within a pipeline step would be a welcome feature!

Any help would be much appreciated

Hey @darren welcome back!

I believe you are correct in that the only way around this is to have a page configured for “Task” entities and then those filters will work as expected. I’m not aware of anything in SG that allows for the “Shot” based approach but I’d definitely support this feature!

Thanks @Halil ,
I’m glad I wasn’t missing something right in front of me!

Yes, I think having some sort of filter hierarchy could go a long way for custom pages!
Maybe adding additional filter icons that provide the same mechanism to the right of each Pipeline Step header in the table would be a way to do this…

Moving to Task based layout for now

Thanks!
