When starting nuke from shotgun, if the user tries to save a new file from the shotgun ‘File --> Save’:
a) the ‘Save’ dialog is greyed out
b) the application crashes
Any idea why?

Hi Nik –
I’m so sorry that you’re experiencing a crash!
The first step in diagnosing this one would be to look at your logs. Would you mind opening a support ticket by emailing support@shotgunsoftware.com, and including in your message:
tk-nuke.log
from the appropriate directory for your operating system
We’ll take it from there. Thanks!
Can you confirm if you have debug logging enabled for sessions that crash?
Are you able to recreate the crash with debug logging disabled?
I’ve had this problem since years ago and it still appears to happen even with the latest releases of apps/engines… and the only obvious cause is having debug logging enabled.
Now that I think of it, I have definitely noticed Nuke being much slower (especially with Shotgun related things) when debug logging is enabled.
So it’s the damnedest thing. I went to repo the crash and it works just fine now. No idea what’s changed but I’m happy nonetheless. SO thanks guys!
Tale as old as time!
Glad it seems to have solved itself, @Nik. Let us know if it comes back.
