PNG colour and MOV colour difference

Hi,
Why is there a difference in the colour between a PNG and MOV (DNxHD) on SG of the same frame? We are rendering out images in Arnold using aces cs and then converting them to Rec709 for output as PNG (aces cs EXR for final deliverables). The PNGs get compiled into a DNxHD mov for review on RV/SG. If I publish the original PNG along with the mov I can see a big difference in the colours between the 2. I expect to see the mov as the PNG as those are the colours I see in comp when the aces cg is converted to Rec709.

Please see attached image.
For the PNG My Color/View settings in RV are Color=sRGB and View = Rec709; and for the mov Color = Rec709 and View Rec709.
This has become a real head scratcher. Any help would be really appreciated!
Regards,
Haris

Hey @hahmad to get accurate colour reviews in media uploaded to SG you’d need to be aware of the transcoding that happens for all media that is uploaded to sg_uploaded_movie fields on a Version. This default behaviour can be overwritten if you take over this process to control it. See: Do it yourself (DIY) transcoding
