Notification only when unstable but not on Failure

Heroku (RIP) went down for an hour or so yesterday and our web service that processes SG webhooks went with it. We get notifications from SG when a webhook gets marked as “unstable”. But it seems SG doesn’t notify when the web hook fails and is disabled.

This is baffling to me. Has anyone else experienced this as well or do you get notifications on failure?

Needless to say, a headache has been made much larger because of this. Our sentry notifications didn’t alert us because the web hooks weren’t being processed so no errors there. And since we didn’t get any alert from SG, we had no idea for hours.

A case where the event daemon still has an edge over webhooks.

Well, my main point is that the notifications that SG is supposed to send, aren’t being sent.

And wondering if anyone actually received Failed notifications or just Unstable notifications.
