New Version not auto-populating Project field

Possible bug ?
Is it just me or does using “New Version” from “My Tasks” page (right-click on the tasks on the left) fail to auto-populate the Project field?
From a Tasks detail page or Versions tab if I do the same, the Project is correctly filled out.

This limits what could be the most efficient way for artists to upload media to their tasks.

Can someone verify this bug isn’t specific to our site?

Confirmed.

Hi everyone,
It’s passed some time but I’m still having the same problem. I would like to add that similarly, when I open the Create Version Form by clicking “Add Version” button in the Versions tab, the Task field is empty.

But if I create a new version from the “Selected Task” tab on the bottom-right the creation Form in correctly filled.

I know that the solution is to use this last way, but, like Patrick said, is more intuitive for artists right-click on his/her task.

Thanks in advance for your help.

You are clicking on Add Version from the Shot Detail page, hence the Task is not auto-filled.

Try right-clicking on the task in the left pane and create version from there.

Alternatively, you could opt to enable the Task detail page when a task is selected in the left pane instead of the Shot Detail Page.
This is a site setting in the admin preferences.

Hi Ricardo,
thanks for your reply. The setting to show Task link details was enabled, but I found out that disabling it it’s better for me, because now I see the task page when I select the task in the left pane, so the “Add Version” button correctly auto-fill the form.
Right-click on the task list on the left pane is still not filling the Project field in the form, as the original post.

Thanks

Would you mind sending in a support ticket for that, if you havent already?

I’ll do the same as I can see the same issue and it definitely breaks some workflows.
