New permissions issue for Artists

In our site we have the Artists group setup with permissions to create shots. This has worked for us up until yesterday when Artists started reporting that they were getting errors creating shots.

The error is very odd as it mentions the Note field - which is not a field that can be manipulated when creating a Shot. None of our other permissions groups seem to have this issue.

Anyone have any ideas about what’s going on here?

Possibly the Shots page used by the artists has a filter applied to do with Notes?
Entities created on pages with filters applied will (I think) have the filter value set by default

Darn that sounded promising! Alas, there are no filters applied.
