I have switched my browser to Microsoft Edge since it is now based on Chromium (And I’m loving it more than Chrome).
Shotgun still displays the browser isn’t supported but it worked fine for weeks… until about yesterday…
Now Edge simply displays a black page for any shotgun page I open.
So maybe something was changed in a recent Shotgun update that broke it?
Definitely would like to see some sort of support for Edge (although, like I said, it was working flawlessly for weeks) since it’s based on Chromium now and is definitely less of a memory hog than Chrome…
I was also using Edge, everything was working fine suddenly it doesn’t work anymore, I don’t think it is difficult to enable Edge support, after all it is Chromium, anything that works in Chrome should work in Edge Chromium, even the extensions.
I’ve logged a bug with edge/Microsoft about this but not sure if it’s their side or Shotguns side.
All I know is my edge didn’t get updated but sg has weekly updates
Thanks for reporting, and everyone who submitted feature requests. Although Edge is not currently an officially supported browser, we are currently evaluating the possibility of adding official support and hope to share more on this soon.
I found a workaround for the meanwhile, just search into the Edge´s extension store for “user agent switcher” and change it to Chrome, now delete all cookies from shotgun and it works fine, have been using it for 2 weeks now and no problems at all.
