Making the current Version Status more prevalent

If the user is NOT showing all related notes, they have access to the Version status on the same panel as where they add in a new note. This is helpful if they want to quickly add a note OR approve the version. However, the configurable fields are all in “Info”, so they can’t easily see if there are other open notes to check on (if that field were to show up when selected). In screening room, our supervisors add the Open Notes Count to get a quick indicator if past notes are still open, and then click on that number to open a pop-up grid view of those notes.

If they “See all related notes” is toggled on, they can see if past versions have notes, but they can only access the status of the current version if they toggle that version open, which may make it harder to see if past versions have open notes and if the version reviewed is not the most recent, it may not be as clear which version/status is presently up for review.

Could the Notes Panel be able to simultaneously show both a count of Past Open Notes (on the task & Entity levels) as well as the editable field of the current version Status? Perhaps the Current Version’s status field could be available near the new Note field or fixed at the top of the panel or at the top/center of the page (where the name of the current version is?)

This is great feedback for an improvement to our UI! I will add this to that list of future improvements and will reach out if we begin working on this.

How important is it that the current version status is editable? Also, would the status be acceptable in the version panel on the left instead of the top or right?
