I would love to be able to replace SyncSketch with something properly integrated in FPT, but I suspect that to do so we’d need to be able to grant external users access to Live Review sessions presumably with password protection or something similar. We want to be able to review material with vendors, studio, clients…all sorts of different people who won’t have accounts on our FPT. Is there any plan for something like this?
I believe “Client Review” is something close to what Syncsk does. Not exactly the same but help a lot.
Indeed the Cleint review site is what that is used for and I’m hoping that Creative Review will at some point also support “unlicensed” client users as there are a myriad of situations where you could be on a client review session with heaps of client people.
or even in asynchronous review situations, the current Client review Site is aging compared to Creative Review or SyncSketch and other products.
Unifying all the players would help massively.
Hey Will,
Thanks for posting this. This is something we’ll be considering in the future as our product moves out of Public Beta. Feedback like this helps us understand the wants and needs of users as we move forward, hopefully more users can indicate this is something they’d like to see which can help us in making those decisions. Still lots of work to be done but we’ll absolutely be looking into this in the future.
Cheers
Great, thanks for your reply.
To be clear (and also in response to the above about Client Review), it would be an effort to convince some people to move from our current review setup. Integration with FPT is obviously a big positive but if there is any friction in using this compared to SyncSketch then I doubt it’s going to happen, even if it solves other problems. Splitting reviews between the Client Review Site and Live Review is certainly a non-starter. Additionally, it’s not only external companies that we need to consider. We have a number of people who join reviews internally who don’t know that they have an FPT account and don’t ever want to have to know.
I don’t love SyncSketch, but it is undeniably easy to set up a review and get people to join it and that path of least resistance is probably going to determine a lot about the tools we use.
Anyway, it’s good to hear this is on the radar.
