Can you set someone else as a Follow(er) to a task/asset?

Heya, I’m pretty sure this isn’t possible, but does anyone know if it’s possible to add another field called “Follow” and add a user (other than you) as an asset/task follow(er)?

An option is to add the other person in the Task CC field.
I believe then they can receive notifications of Task activity but are not directly assigned the Task.

You can do this via API as well.
