Thats a pretty nice thing indeed!
I was thinking about it. It would be great if we could toggle laser pointer mode and draw mode during annotation with a hotkey.
It seems that when playing a Playlist there is no mention anywhere of which playlist I am looking at.
On the left it just says “Playlist”.
A link to go back to the playlist in question would be great too.
Also I noticed that notes created from Creative Review do not link to the Playlist (if I was making them in the context of a Playlist).
This does happen from the previous tools and is needed to create functions on top of ShotGrid that do things with notes linked to a playlist.
Not having this would break any tools that currently expect this link to exist.
Thanks for the feedback Ricardo. We’ve ingested the feedback internally and we’ll take a look at these items. Thanks
Hi all,
Adding to the great feedback, notes created from the Creative Review app come with a very unusable naming convention that doesn’t represent anything for the user. I thought Create’s plain “New Note” was bad, but this is just more information that’s not user friendly at all and doesn’t bring any advantage to a script that can poll directly this data from the note_links
field.
Note on Version-55056 and Task-54575
Can we take a chance to improve that and maybe finally bring some level of customization to the note subjects?
Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback Alfonso, we’ve added this item to our internal feedback and we’ll take a look at Notes naming. Thanks so much
I noticed some buggy behaviour when switching the media between left and right while viewing side-by-side.
Especially these versions have different resolutions/aspect ratios.
Hey @Ricardo_Musch, thanks for bringing this up. Can you please create a new post in the Creative Review forum (helps us not lose this info and reply to you when actioned), and include as much detail as possible, original aspect ratios, file types, env info, etc. Provide any additional info you might think is relevant, and we’ll get it logged internally.
Thanks
Hey,
I just tried the new player and wanted to ask some questions about the new features or updates.
- The order of the versions in the playlist within the Creative Review Player does not match the order of the versions in the actual playlist. Instead, the Creative Review Player appears to organize the versions by the date they were uploaded rather than following the sort order specified in the playlist.
- In a sync review, only the host can add comments or make annotations. Will this feature remain in the final release, or do you plan to allow other participants in a sync session to create notes and annotations as well?
- Are there any plans to expand upon the feature “View Annotations in the Player”? Although there is an option to view bots on the timeline, this only displays the bot associated with the note you’ve selected. There is no way to view bots for all notes, nor is there a way to click between the notes.
- Do you plan to have notes linked to the timeline location where they were created? That way, users can simply click the note and be brought to the location on the timeline where the note was created, providing additional context if needed.
- Currently, there is no option to view the note’s status. Are there plans to implement an option or feature that limits the notes to only those with the status ‘Open’ or ‘In Progress’?
- Currently, the Creative Player is only accessible on single versions or playlists; you can’t select multiple versions and open them in said player. Are there any plans to implement the option so that it works on selected versions as well?
Further, is there a public roadmap in regards to the Creative Review Player? It would be helpful to know what is coming in the future and what your (autodesk) plans are inregards to said player.
Hey MMDCLXVI
For item #1, this could be a potential issue, we’ll get back to you regarding this if we find anything. I’d suggest you create a new post within the Public Beta Forum, provide as much detail as you can and we’ll take a look.
For all the other items you’ve listed, we appreciate the feedback, it’s super useful. These are actually all items that we’ve identified and are actively investigating. Our roadmaps are currently internal as we plan, develop and release new features as part of our beta program. We’re very excited to bring you new and exciting features and improvements in future releases.
Thanks so much for posting.
