We recently updated our General Security documentation to better support ShotGrid sites using Autodesk Identity.
If you need to restrict your users network access, we now recommend the following solutions:
- Firewall. Your studio may already use a network appliance capable restricting network access. For ShotGrid to work, our service FQDNs will have to be granted access by your studio’s network administrators. Our ShotGrid Ecosystem article will help them put the required exceptions in place.
- Proxy. An alternative option if your firewall is not capable of performing the necessary Layer 7 filtering could be to deploy a HTTP proxy within your studio. See Setting up a proxy server for ShotGrid for more details.
We have deprecated the following solutions as they are incompatible with Autodesk Identity:
- The ShotGrid Gateway server solution
- IP-based network restrictions
