Announcement: Flow-connected capabilities leaving beta

Announcement: Flow-connected capabilities leaving beta

In an upcoming release of Flow Production Tracking (planned for June 17 2026) the Flow-connected Capabilities in Flow Production Tracking will move out of beta. This includes sharing cuts from Flow Production Tracking to animate in context with Maya and sharing playlists from Flow Production Tracking to Flow Capture.

This upcoming release includes improvements to Flow-connected capabilities in Flow Production Tracking, such as the ability to connect existing Flow Production Tracking Projects to Flow, unshare cuts that were previously shared with Flow, and additional workflow and performance enhancements.

As part of this transition out of beta, Flow Production Tracking data that was previously shared with Flow will be removed from Flow. The data that you shared will still remain unchanged in Flow Production Tracking.

Flow-connected capability settings in Flow Production Tracking will also be temporarily disabled to ensure new data is not shared with Flow during the transition. If you had previously shared a Flow Production Tracking Project with Flow, you can reconnect it to share again after the beta transition is completed.

Important information for customers using shared playlists

Customers using the Share playlist from Flow Production Tracking to Flow Capture capability should note that shared playlists removed from Flow Capture during the beta transition will lose any comments and annotations that were made on the playlist within Flow Capture. The playlist can be shared again with Flow Capture once the beta transition is complete, but the comments and annotations made in Flow Capture during the beta period will not reappear.

It is possible to export comments from playlists in Flow Capture to preserve a copy of them. You can find more information on how to export comments from playlists in the Flow Capture documentation.

Playlists in Flow Production Tracking that were shared with Flow Capture will remain unchanged in Flow Production Tracking.

Important information for customers using animate in context

Customers using the Animate in context with Maya capability will need to install version 0.11.12 or later of the Autodesk Flow plug-in for Maya. This version of the Maya plug-in is backwards compatible and can be updated ahead of the beta transition.

The Autodesk Flow plugin can be downloaded from manage.autodesk.com by clicking on “Products and services” in the top navigation bar and then selecting Maya.

Transition Timeline

The timeline of this transition is planned as follows:
