Simple as it must be , I cannot find a way to add nuke to the shotgrid desktop.

All I had to do was provide path to nuke for windows and it showed up
Yes the engine only searches the official installation directories for Nuke.
If its installed elesewhere then you have to configure that.
I normally manage this by using the Shotgrid Web integration.
Settings - Software - Add Software
and it always shows up updated on the Shotgrid Desktop.
