Status column in Shots: Is it possible to configure to display the Icon plus Name or Short Code

It seems the only option here is to display the icon alone.
Is there a way to display the Name or Short Code in addition to or even instead of the icon?

Not in the Status column. But you could add a calculated field that uses the TO_CODE function to translate the status into the short code. (Calculated fields | ShotGrid | Autodesk Knowledge Network)
