This latest version of create in review mode displays all the videos completely black on windows 2000. Completely dead in water now to review any of the companies work as effectively as before.

Hey @frederickfowles—sorry to hear about the trouble!

Shotgun Create is only officially supported on Windows 10, so we’re pretty surprised (and impressed!) that you’ve had it running successfully on Windows 2000.

The best path to resolve would be to upgrade your OS. (Though I certainly appreciate the challenges upgrading your pipeline’s OS bring.)

The 2020.05.051 release introduced some issues on Windows workstations with specific configurations.

Unfortunately, we’ve had to revert the build until a fix is available.

FAQ

I didn’t have the time to update my Shotgun Create installation to 2020.05.051. What should I do?

Nothing. The current “last version” of Shotgun Create is 2020.05.011. If you are at this version, you are at the latest official version; otherwise, you may update to the last official version to benefit from all our features (like the new Playlist view) and bug fixes.

I am currently running Shotgun Create 2020.05.051, and everything is going well. What should I do?

This is great! It means that Shotgun Create behaves well with your setup. You can continue to use it!

I am currently running Shotgun Create 2020.05.051, and I can’t play anything in the player. What should I do?

You will have to revert to 2020.05.011.

If you have version 2020.05.051 from an automatic update of Shotgun Create, you need to erase this update from your computer by deleting the content of the %APPDATA%/Autodesk/Shotgun Create/ApplicationUpdates folder. Doing this will put Shotgun Create in the same state as when you’ve installed it the first time from the installer. At the first launch, it will detect that the version 2020.05.011 is available and will start the update process (unless it’s already at the current version). You might notice some differences between the last release of Shotgun Create and the one you end up while Shotgun Create is updating.

If you have directly downloaded version 2020.05.051 from your Shotgun Site yesterday or today, you need to uninstall Shotgun Create by starting the installer again and selecting “Uninstall” or by removing it using the Add / Remove programs utility. Once Shotgun Create removed, you can grab the right installer on your Shotgun Site.

Sorry for the trouble!

Hi there. I’m currently having issues with build 2020.05.051. I’m to revert to the previous version per your list of steps. I’m having problems with this link Shotgun Account Center

I’ve tried my Shotgun login credentials as well as my community forum credentials. Nothing is letting me in to download the correct version I need.

Hi @SethP,

First, welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately, I don’t know what’s happening with your access to account center and I’m not the right person to help you related to this.

BUT!

Shotgun Create’s installer are available publicly.

Windows: https://sg-shotgunsoftware.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com/deploy/create/ShotgunCreate.msi

macOS: https://sg-shotgunsoftware.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com/deploy/create/ShotgunCreate.pkg.tar.gz

Linux (RHEL): https://sg-shotgunsoftware.s3-accelerate.amazonaws.com/deploy/create/ShotgunCreate.rpm

Theses links always point to the last approved version of Shotgun Create.

Please be sure that the %APPDATA%/Autodesk/Shotgun Create/ApplicationUpdates folder is removed before reinstalling Shotgun Create, if this is something you need to do.

Merci,
Kerby

Hey there, thanks for getting back to me. I’ve tried looking for that ApplicationUpdates folder without success. I’m on a Windows machine and can’t seem to find a way to roll back to a working version. Is there a direct link to Build #2020.05.011 - May 6, 2020?
