Creative Review seems to use and display each Note’s Date Updated field instead of Date Created (how it works in Media app and elsewhere). I noticed this because we have an async task that replicates notes from Slack to Flow and they were all out of order in Creative Review (Date Updated) vs Media App (Date Created). This is an issue for us because Date Created is editable and Date Updated is not.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention jrapczak. We’ll raise this issue and ticket internally. Will update with info as it becomes available.
Thanks
@jrapczak Request from engineers for more info. Can you tell me the following…
- Is this happening in default view
- Where specifically is this happening
- Any additional info you think might be relevant and or screenshots
Once we’ve got this info, we’ll take further action.
Yes this happens in default view. This is on the notes thread under the user name for each note, showing what time the note was Created (Media Page) / Updated (Creative Review Page). The Creative Review Page correctly displays the original Version’s “Date Created” field, but it incorrectly displays each Note’s “Date Updated” field. I have created a screenshot to show you how a note shows up in Media vs. Creative Review vs. Note Details. You can see where each field is used, and how using Date Updated on Creative Review is inconsistent with Media Page and other parts of the UI.
The reason we should never use the Date Updated field is because it is an audit field and changes any time any property of the item changes, and cannot be set via the API. This means something like changing the status of a Note would make it appear out-of-order in the context of the Note Thread.
Thanks for the additional info. We’ve included it in our internal ticket.
Cheers
