How do I bulk import the status/delivery date changes to tasks on shots?

Hello,

Every week our vendors send us status reports, listing the status of the tasks that we have assigned them and their delivery dates. Each shot has 6 to 7 tasks that need to be updated.

I have not been able to find a way to do a bulk import of each vendor’s reports yet. I have to manually go in and change each task status/delivery date and this is very time consuming.

Is there a way around this?

Is there a way to set up the excel sheet that the vendor’s send us so that we can easily do a bulk import of these updates?

Do I have to use the task ‘ID’s’ in this process?

Not sure there is any way except for scripting it.
About the IDs - think about it - how are you going to uniquely identify the tasks you want to update? What if there exist duplicate names, for example? Perhaps the combination of project-shot-task is unique, but this cannot be universally stated.
