Can this splash screen be hidden? It often lasts longer than it takes the application behind it to open, so it ends up being in the way without providing anything useful as far as I can tell. Can I permantenly hide it?

I might find where it is in the launchapp and make a PR to add a setting to disable it,

Ideally, an indication that an application/tool is being launched could be dislpayed, but then inside the SG Desktop app itself (just to show that something is happening). However for me this is very low priority

It’s literally just a ten second timer that starts after the before_app_launch and app_launch hooks have been called. Really not helpful.
I’ve forked our code to shorten the timer and start it before calling those hooks.
Really there should be some call backs to update or close the splash screen when those hooks have finished.
