Starting in March 2026, Flow Production Tracking (FPT) will adopt Autodesk’s standardized privacy settings to provide our customers with greater visibility and control over how their usage data is handled. This is an Autodesk account-level setting that applies across all Autodesk products and provides explicit control over the types of data you share with us and does not change the data we collect or how we use it.
Action required: If you haven’t previously set your Autodesk privacy preferences, you’ll be prompted to review and confirm them when you log into FPT. Click OK in the Privacy Settings dialog box to continue using FPT.
Will everyone see this Privacy Settings dialog box?
No. You’ll only see this Privacy Settings dialog box in FPT if you haven’t already saved your Autodesk privacy preferences. If you’ve previously set these preferences in your Autodesk account or in another Autodesk product (such as Maya, 3ds Max, or other desktop applications), FPT will use your existing settings and you won’t be prompted again.
What you’ll see
When you log into FPT, a one-time Privacy Settings dialog box will be displayed with three options:
- Required data collection (enabled by default, required for FPT to run securely and reliably. This setting cannot be disabled) Note: This data is already being collected under your existing FPT user agreement. Autodesk is not introducing new data collection—we are providing explicit visibility into current practices.
- Help develop new products and services (optional, default depends on your geo)
- Personalize our offers (optional, default depends on your geo)
The optional settings can be enabled or disabled based on your preference. Default selections may vary by region. You can learn more by reviewing the Autodesk Analytics Programs and Autodesk Privacy Statement.
Why this update matters
This update standardises how privacy choices are presented across Autodesk products and helps ensure compliance with global privacy regulations. You’re seeing it as part of a general rollout—it’s not related to any specific action on your account.
What’s changing
- Privacy choices are presented more clearly and transparently. Optional analytics settings are under your control and can be changed at any time.
What’s not changing
- The required data necessary to run FPT securely and reliably
- How your production data and creative content (shots, notes, reviews, assets) are handled
- Your existing workflows or features in FPT
About required data collection
Required data supports core service operations such as security, fraud prevention, system performance, and aggregated analytics. This data is essential to operate FPT and cannot be disabled.
Can you change your settings later?
Yes. You are in control; privacy settings can be updated anytime through Autodesk account (My profile and settings).
Is this privacy notice related to training AI on customer’s production data?
No. This notice applies only to product usage telemetry (how features are used), not your production content. Studios retain full ownership and control of their creative data.
