SG Groundtruth free MIT tool

I’ve used the Shotgun API for more than 15 years now. The REST one for the past 6. And let’s be honest, it has a few quirks.

With agentic coding, I find my agents tripping on the same mistakes and rediscovering the wheel every new session when it comes to the Flow PT API.

So I wrote SG Groundtruth: https://sg-groundtruth.vercel.app/

The way it works is simple: when I adopt it into a project, it searches the corpus for info about how to retrieve some information. If it finds it, it uses it. If not, it writes a new probe (script) that allows tu understand how a feature of the API works.

It can analyze your already written code, extract patterns, and add them to the corpus as
recipes you can re-use on other projects. It can scan your site and add a local corpus about projects that you’re interested in, extracting facts about fields used and other important information.

There are sections about Entity Types, data types, endpoints, recipes, etc. It’s super easy to setup.

It’s free, MIT. I’m heavily using it for new projects, like some comfyUI nodes, LLM-configurable, coming soon!

This is the backbone of a series of projects that I think can help any engineer/TD build new products. If you want to know more, or contribute, or help me build the pipeline consulting of the future, hit me up!

If you like it, you can star it on github! GitHub - ksallee/sg-groundtruth: Recorded behaviour of the Flow Production Tracking REST API: one probe per question, the status code and error string verbatim. · GitHub

By the way, I couldn’t test properly webhooks, because webhooks were broken on my test site, but all the probe scripts are there, so if someone can contribute to the project by running it on a test site with a sandbox project, I’d have the real info about webhooks behavior recorded. Thanks!
