Hi folks! I built a small MVP called tk-incidentreporter and wanted to share it.

In SGTK Desktop environments, when something breaks on the client, we often waste time asking for logs and collecting them. This app watches tk-*.log, detects ERROR|CRITICAL, then automatically files a Ticket to FPTR with the log attached.

It also prevents ticket flooding by title-signature de-dup:

  • Title: "<user_login> - <ErrorName or short message>"

  • If the same title already exists → skip creation

This is idea / end-to-end flow validation only, not production-ready.

Awesome to see something like this open sourced! It’s a huge time saver to have an app to collect logs and open a ticket with them.
