Xavier

Xavier

  1. I wanted to be a 3D artist by the late 90’s. No resources for it.
  2. I managed to get my hands on 3D software and hardware in the early 2000’s. Started to self educate in it. Internet was rather primitive tho.
  3. Got myself a full time job as a 3D artist in 2005.
  4. Wanted to learn animation, realised it was not a technical skill, and actually VERY hard. Enrolled myself in Animation Mentor.
  5. Got my ass in New Zealand looking for better 3D/VFX opportunities in 2009.
  6. by 2010 I was working on AA products animating full time, and I must say I was able to do so thanks to how Shotgun was pushing away or the crap entanglement of productions with over 100 people.
  7. Moved to MoCap (love it), circa 2014, and by 2017 luckily Weta had Shotgun too  , so I joined them.
  8. Now working part time producer, part time consultant, and still dealing with people that have not been evangelised with Shotgun or anything remotely close to it.
  9. Time to learn everything about Shotgun myself and put things in order in front of me
  10. Please, adopt me.
