There seems to be a weird issue with workfiles and Houdini - in Houdini workfiles operations are (sometimes?) asynchronous. There are events fired on save/open, but these do not appear to be very reliable - e.g. the saved event fires even though the file is still unsaved.

In workfiles, when opening, a reset operation is fired too, and there is a conflict happening, where it says it cannot reset the scene because an open operation is in progress. There are other similar situations.

Franky, I do not know what the solution would be - workfiles seems to assume file operations are synchronous.

Has anyone had similar issues?
