Hello,

the latest RV (2026.0.1) has a bug with the annotations:

- annotations do not clear when selecting Edit \> Clear all marks
- annotations “stick” (do not go away) when the artist switches to a new reviewable media, despite the old annotation being saved.

There doesn’t seem to be any useful log in the console, but it’s something pretty easy to repro, in particular with the brush annotation.

Anybody else is bumping into this issue?

Hey @drmax,

Thank you for reaching out. We will take a look on our side and see if we can repro and what might be going on.

Thanks,

Tommy

Hey @drmax,

After reviewing I would like to just get some clarity and not assume. When you perform Edit \> Clear all marks that only removes the markers from the timeline no the annotations themselves. In order to remove all annotations you would click that in the annotation tool bar, see screenshot. This would also be why the annotations stick. When you “Clear All Frames on Timeline” that clears all annotations from all media you have in the timeline. I hope this helps.

hey Tommy,

thanks for the clarity around the “Clear marks” menu. I’m instructing the artists to use the annotation one instead.

Regarding the “sticking” ones, they mention this:

the annotations sticking around has to do with making notes while in a stacked view.

- Make an annotation note with 2 versions in a stack
- Switch to new shot
- Put 2 versions of that shot into a stack

this brings back the first annotation every time.

Are these only meant to be cleared with the “Clear Frame” menu?

kindest regards
