# Is it possible to control permissions on a per-Shot (i.e. per-record) basis?

Response from SG tech support was suggest they’re less than enthusiastic about the idea.

“_I would strongly recommend against using the Vendor Permission Group, unless it is being used for a true Vendor (someone outside their studio and outside their workflow, that they need to be very limited permissions-wise). It’s the most limited of all of the permissions._”
