Do I need the tank folder on a Distributed Config?

Hey there,

I have several projects stored on a mounted drive A:/ ( ip/folder_X ) after the toolkit has been setuped.
I need to move all those projects to another folder on the same server ( ip/folder_Y ) which will become the new mounted drive A: . After that, we won’t be using the old folder_X anymore.

All the projects use a Distributed Config pointing to A:

Before switching to a distributed config setup for all the projects, I used a centraliszd config. Therefore, I have some tank folders (that I never use) for some of the projects.

My understanding is that, as I am using a distributed config, those tank folders are useless. Am I correct?
In case I ever need to switch back to a centralised config, do I have to copy those sgtk tank folders to the new A: drive too, or can I safely delete them?

Thanks,
Ben

Hey Ben!

Thanks for the questions. I’ll run them by the Toolkit team and we’ll get you an answer.

Hey @benwall

Yes.

You should be able to delete without worry.
